Practice Gratitude On A Daily Basis

All of us have friends, moments, and things in life that we can be tremendously grateful for. Even during moments when seemingly endless dark clouds are above us, there are bright spots that allow us to see glimmers of hope.
When we express gratitude, we feel a strong sense of empathy towards others but also towards ourself. Gratitude helps reduce negative thoughts, dissatisfaction or even aggression that we may be feeling, replacing them with a strong feeling of harmony and peace.
Showing gratitude towards others is a great way to make someone's day, and provide us with a sense of positivity, being able to connect with others on an emotional level and reinforce or create new friendships and lasting relationships.
Gratitude Exercise
- Find time each day to say "thank you" for the things, the people, or the experiences you can enjoy.
- Consider noting them down in your personal “Happy Journal”, for the moments when they are easy to forget.
- What are you grateful for today, what is it that makes your day special?
Experience The Power of the 'I love myself' exercise
"Self-love is a feeling where you experience the sensation of being enough - you feel beautiful, worthy, and appreciative of who you are."
It is important to accept that when we are in peace with ourselves, we can find peace in our life and in our relationships. Understanding ourselves, who we are, makes it easier to understand our life and others.
In order to love yourself and understand yourself, you first need to be yourself: authentic and natural, as you are. This will allow you to understanding yourself better and accept yourself.
You will find that very quickly, when you are at peace with yourself, you will be more in demand. You will feel balanced, your health will improve, and abundance and wealth will flow to you.
Many of us have benefited tremendously from this self-love exercise and felt their transformational impact.
I love Myself Exercise
- Appreciating yourself makes everything so much easier in life. Try this very personal and almost intimate exercise (in a great way) and feel how it transforms your spirit and energises you in a very calming way.
- To start this exercise, look at yourself in the mirror, gently gaze at your eyes, and say the words “I LOVE YOU”, looking in your eyes like speaking directly to your soul.
- Think about what it is about you as a human being that you love so much. Think about a quality or an ability of you that made you proud today.
Use The Power Of Affirmations
Self-Love Affirmations Exercise
- Try “I embrace who I am” or “I am a brilliant human being” or maybe this one “Love starts with me”.
- Writing your personal affirmation on a piece of paper and taping it to your bathroom mirror or computer monitor is a great way to remind yourself during the day. Every time you see it, say it out loud, or quietly.
- Choose words of abundance, feeling what you want to experience, as if you were already there, to create the positive energy that gives your thoughts the credibility in your mind.
Be Easy on Yourself

We all have the tendency to expect the most from us – every day and all the time. Sometimes we are too critical of ourselves and instead of providing the best for us, we are actually holding us back from flourishing and achieving our full potential.
Developing an awareness of your thoughts and replacing overly critical thoughts with more realistic, positive and compassionate views of yourself is critical for your well-being.

I forgive Myself Exercise
- To accept yourself also means to forgive yourself for any decisions or choices you made in the past that you now regret.
- We all make mistakes. Remember that you have genuinely only ever given your best, based on the situation and your understanding at that time.
- Thinking of a decision or choice you made that has kept your mind occupied for too long. Forgive yourself, and move on with a sense of relief.
Date Yourself - You Need It

In our busy lives, full of people, emotions and sensations, spending time alone has almost become a taboo. However, we desperately need time on our own, once in a while, to reconnect with ourselves.
Humans have for centuries found ways to spend time along - just think of for example the millions of pilgrims that embark on long walks to holy sites each year.
Let’s try to purposely spend time along and immerse ourself in our emotions of self-awareness, listening to and reconnecting with our inner self.
Spending time along allows you to see things more clearly and feel what truly matters to you. Let it help you search your soul for what you really adore in life.
Have-a-Great-Time-Alone Exercise
- Set aside time just for you, and make the most of the time on your own.
- Get comfortable at home or explore that spot close by, or further afield, that you always wanted to experience but never had time to.
- Use meditation exercises or relaxed breathing, supported by mala beads, and find purposeful stillness to reconnect with yourself.
Self 💕 is an important aspect in Buddhism to feel connected with your true essence.
